Woman Bullied Mercilessly for Her Eyebrow Tattoos Has No Regrets

Mandy Lamrini, a 35-year-old German waitress who grew tired of filling in her brows each day, decided to get her eyebrows tattooed on her face. No big deal so far. She took pictures of the results, which she loved, and posted them on Facebook. Again, pretty standard stuff.

What happened next, though, was not what she expected. The response she received from her Facebook friends — and the people they shared it with — was decidedly not as positive as her own.

Within days, the photos had thousands of comments. There were dozens of memes poking fun at her new look.

Cosmopolitan.com reached out to Lamrini to talk about the reaction to her brows (Lamrini’s manager Karsten Schröder responded in English on behalf of Lamrini in an email) and how she’s coping with the haters.
I decided to get my eyebrows tattooed on, because before, I did not really have any eyebrows and I was tired of retracing them all the time. I will never regret this step of having them get done. The tattoo process itself was a bit painful, but one can bear it 😉

When I posted the picture, I did not figure anything and simply wanted to see what others would say about it. I had never imagined that it would cause such a stir and that national as well as international internet newspapers report about me now. I feel very honored. Because of this whole thing I gained more than 7,000 followers. I handle the situation in a positive way, because through all my haters I have come this far now and that is not an easy thing to do, right!? 😉

Lamrini also mentioned that she’s been presented with new modeling opportunities ever since posting the photos of her brows.

And that is how you make lemonade out of lemons.
