The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has petitioned the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke (SAN), seeking investigation and prosecution of those indicted in the leaked audio file on Ekiti governorship election.
The audio file released by Sahara Reporters, an online publication, detailed how Governor Ayodele Fayose, then candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party; a former Minister of State for Defence, Mr. Musiliu Obanikoro; Osun PDP governorship candidate, Iyiola Omisore; Minister of Police Affairs, Mr. Jelili Adesiyan and the military allegedly rigged the June 21, 2014 poll in Ekiti.
The APC urged Adoke to investigate the matter to bring persons involved to justice, warning that failure to act would compel it to approach the court to seek an Order of Mandamus compelling him to so act.
