Fashola prepares for death, buys his burial chamber at Lekki

Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Fashola stunned a gathering in Lekki area of the state when he revealed he had bought his own vault where his remains will be buried at his raji-fashola3-448x336demise four yers ago.

The governor disclosed this on Sunday while fielding questions from journalists after inspecting the site of the new cemetery in Ibeju-Lekki.

He said death is a necessary end that will come when it will come, saying there is need for people to prepare for it.

He said:”We are here to inspect a cemetery, we often don’t like to talk about but there is a need for it because the population continue to expand and the Lekki Sub- region is growing very  fast.

Fashola declares today work-free for civil servants, for collection of Permanent Voters Cards

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has declared today 640x401xBabatunde-Fashola-001.jpg.pagespeed.ic.9DBbRyjz3W(Friday) a work-free day for its workers to enable them collect their Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs.

This came barely a week after the Deputy chairman South of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Segun Oni said APC controlled states would declare two day as Work-free to aid PVC collection.

The Head of Service, Mrs. Oluseyi Williams, who disclosed this in a statement made available to Vanguard yesterday, said that the Fashola-led administration was desirous of ensuring that all public servants in the State participated in the voting process.
