Nine months after popular ‘Despacito’ was released by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, the monster hit song isn’t showing any sign of slowing down, it keeps winning and setting new global records.
‘Despacito’, released on January 12, has now been declared first video ever to hit 4 billion views on YouTube. On August 3, the song also outweighed Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” and PSY’s “Gangnam Style” to became the most viewed music video on YouTube.
‘Despacito’ also inked itself on Vevo’s record as the most viewed Spanish-language video in 24 hours with 5.4 million hits and the fastest video to reach 200 million views, 2 billion views and 3 billion views. Nielsen Music
