Nigerian University Forces Students to Cut Hair at School Gate

A private university in Nigeria has allegedly asked its defaulting students to cut their hair before entering the school. It will seem that when you are in a private higher institution in Nigeria, you are no longer entitled to your privacy. How else can one explain what happened at the entrance of the Afe Babalola University recently when some students were forcefully subjected to a hair cut that they didn’t approve of?

According to a Twitter user, this happened when the school resumed on the February 28. Checkout the tweet below:

Despite the amount of money the students are made to pay as school fees and tuition, does it not make sense for them to be treated a lot better than this? This begs the question, ‘did they already have a ‘ no hair rule’ that the students knew about and still decided to flout?’
