In a new interview, Kanye West discussed his military themed collection for Adidas and revealed that when he and Kim Kardashian, first started dating, “fashion people were really opposed to the idea of reality stars” which caused him to lose several friends.
Kanye’s collection for Adidas was shown during NYFW and definitely was highly buzzed about with stars like Kendall Jenner, Beyonce, Jay Z, Justin Bieber and Rihanna all in attendance. Kanye revealed to Style.com that “I guess I got a little more credit for my second collection than my first, for whatever that is worth,” Kanye revealed about the success of his collection.
“But soon as we started dating, fashion people were really opposed to the idea of reality stars.” “And all the relationships, the somewhat friends that I had somewhat built up, completely turned their backs on her and me,” he continued.
“They already had their back to her, and now they turned it to me.” Kanye has been known to dress Kim to which he said, “She was always my muse, now she’s become other designers’ muses. Or designers’ muses, because like I said, I don’t want to disrespect designers by calling myself a designer, I just think I have a vision of something that I want to do.”
