Pep Guardiola has dismissed links with a move to Manchester City, insisting he wants to see out his contract at Bayern Munich.
The Spaniard has been touted as a possible replacement for Manuel Pellegrini amid rumours that the Blues are losing patience with their current boss.
City’s Champions League hopes hang by a thread ahead of their last-16 second-leg clash with Barcelona, while their title chances were significantly dented by defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
Guardiola, who worked closely with Blues chiefs Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain during a trophy-laden spell in charge at Barca, has been identified in some reports as their preferred successor to Pellegrini.
But the former Spain international is keen to remain in Bavaria for the near future.
“Manchester City? I hope to stay at Bayern Munich for a long time,” he said.
“I have a contract with this wonderful club and aim to fulfil that. I have not received any offers.
“We will see what happens after next year. I am very happy at Bayern.”
