Fast and Furious 9 officially has a new release date.
The movie is now set to hit theaters April 10, 2020—about a year after its initial release date.
The announcement was made on the official Fast and Furious Instagram account on Wednesday.
The ninth film was originally scheduled to debut April 19, 2019.
Vin Diesel, one of the stars of the movie franchise, had announced on his Instagram the making of the eighth, ninth and tenth movies along with their corresponding release dates back in February 2016. There is now word on the tenth film just yet.
The Fast and the Furious is an American franchise based on a series of action films that is largely concerned with illegal street racing and heists, and includes material in various other media that depicts characters and situations from the films.
