On January 31, 2015, kokomaster D’banj held the kick-off party to begin a year-long celebration of his 10th year anniversary as an entertainer.
At the event hosted by American twerk queen Amber Rose, none of D’banj’s ex-record label friends from the defunct Mo’hits records turned up including former partner Don Jazzy, Dr Sid, Wande Coal and D’Prince.
In a recent interview with Punch, D’Prince however explained why they didn’t attend the event saying most of them were out of town and the fact that he didn’t receive any personal invitation.
In his words, ‘D’banj is my very good friend and anytime I see him, we hug and talk. There is no beef between us. The truth is that I was not in town when D’banj had his anniversary’.
He explained further saying, ‘Tiwa Savage is pregnant and Dr. Sid was also not in town while Don Jazzy was in South Africa. I was not in town too and even before I travelled, I did not get a personal invitation to the event’….
