Nigerian-born British professional boxer, Anthony Joshua, is currently in Nigeria and seems to be having a great time as he tours notable places that represent the country’s rich heritage.
One of such places is the Afrika Shrine in Ikeja Lagos State.
Joshua made a stop at the shrine on Thursday night were Femi Kuti was performing on stage.
Recall that Afrika Shrine was founded by Nigerian music legend, late Fela Kuti and is currently under the tutelage of Femi Kuti.
According to reports, 30 years old, Joshua while in the shrine, climbed the stage to meet Femi Kuti, who was performing at that time, and prostrated in the typical Yoruba tradition of greeting elders to salute the 57 years old legendary singer and successor to Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s afrobeats.
The Heavyweight Boxing Champion further presented his four belts to Femi, who surprisingly, wore one of the belts on his neck.
