In Enugu, a 72-year-old man, Ozor Akpudachie, has been arrested by the police for allegedly running a baby factory. PUNCH reports that Akpudachie, who hails from Ogui-Eke in Udi Local government of the state, ran the criminal business in his home.
Four teenage girls were found in his home in different stages of pregnancy. Confirming this story, the Enugu State Police Command spokesperson, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, identified the girls as Chigozie Ejie, 19, Nworie Chijindu, Miracle Onwe, 18, and Emmanuela Nwedu, 20, all from the neighbouring Ebonyi State.
Mr. Ozor Akpudachie was arrested following a tip-off, and is now being held by the police as investigations are being carried out.
