Jessica McDonald, 22, was raped by neighbour Glen Mills, 31. This took place in Newcastle. She was completely naked and discovered friend Glen Mills on top of her, filming, when she woke up on his sofa bed.
Ms McDonald said she screamed for Mills to get off and she tried to push him away but he ignored her pleas. And today, after her attacker was jailed for six years, she has spoke out about her ordeal in a bid to help other victims. Ms McDonald, of Walker, in Newcastle, had visited Mills, 31, at his home for a catch-up and a drink.
But after having two drinks she fell asleep and woke up naked on his sofa bed where he was attacking her. Eventually she found the strength to get up and run back to her home next door, where she collapsed on her living room rug and broke down in tears before calling the police.
She said: ‘When I woke up I was fully naked and my clothes were down to the left hand side of me.
‘I was aware of what was happening but I couldn’t do anything about it.
‘I kept moving and told him to stop but he still kept going.
‘I was in shock but I knew I had to get him off me. I couldn’t as he was bigger than me and stronger than me.
‘Afterwards he was sitting there as if nothing had happened. I felt horrible, it made me feel vile.’
Mills was later arrested and sentenced to six years imprisonment and ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life when he was sentenced at Newcastle Crown Court in September this year.
