ABOUT THE SONG – ORUKO JESU NJE
Oruko Jesu Nje is a Yoruba phrase which means that the name of Jesus is potent and powerful and it works. This song is all about the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It magnifies the name of Jesus Christ as the greatest and highest name that is worthy of praise and is mighty to save all mankind. It declares that there is no other name given to men under heaven whereby they can be saved. No god can save from sin and evil but the name of Jesus Christ.
Oruko Jesu Nje is a gospel song with a blend of Highlife and Rock. According to Jesutobi, this song was birthed in the place of deep heartfelt prayer to God in his private closet. He came to acknowledge just as the Bible says in Psalm twenty verses seven and eight; “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright.”
By this song Jesutobi and his team Ignite are proclaiming to the world that Jesus Christ is the Holy One that is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him. So believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household for everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.
With a soft percussion entrance, the song begins by saying that searching for a god that is superior to the Lord God is an effort in vain. It then climaxes with an uncommon blend of an Ewi performed over a rock vamp of the name of Jesus. With the Guitar being one of Jesutobi’s favorites, he has the song spiced up with a solo outro for music lovers.
